Time to assert “Back to Basics”

0
0
The call of “Back to Basics” in history has been one of the most preferential statements of a community in distress; to be precise, when it is under a threat of relentless onslaughts or when it is experiencing worst form of persecution on religious or linguistic or even racial grounds and doesn't know how to repel to retain its own right to exist. At such critical junctures, when all avenues are found to be abortive and succor can’ be obtained even, contemplation of bascs or thoughts, acts of giants on the same issue remains mostly important. Hindu Nationalism in Bengal having its formal onset in “Anandamath” penned by Bankimchandra Chatterjee and published in 1882 has travelled much by now but is yet to have its cherished success. Several factors have been stated for its failure; while on one hand the movement has failed to exploit historic opportunities in the state to resurrect its own destiny robustly, approaches of its wishy-washy leadership at times to turn the basic concept into an all-encompassing ideology has also been a great obstacle. According to historians, there has never been any amity between Hindus and Muslims in the history of Bengal despite Hindu wishes for such a rosy day are yet to die down. Now, while Bengali Hindu community has become almost a microscopic entity in Bangladesh, its predominance in the Indian state of Bengal is also dwindling fast and if anything is accountable behind this historic debacle, it is nothing save for the community’s erroneous belief.

Hence, it is the time to ponder whether thoughts to preserve Hindu identity in Bengal came up earlier. Even if Rabindranath Tagore is more pained with colors of universalism, he was not alien to this danger. This is best depicted in his tribute to Swami Shraddhanand alias Lala Munshiram, highly reputed Hindu educationist and also reformer of Arya Samaj who was killed a by an Islamist named Abdul Rashid on December 23, 1926. Tagore, in his tribute, wrote without qualm, "We suffered from many dangers, but we could never be united. When Mohammed Ghouri brought the first blow from outside, the Hindus could not be united, even in the those days of imminent danger. When the Muslims started to demolish the temples one after another, and to break the idols of Gods and Goddesses, the Hindus fought and died in small units, but they could not be united. It has been provided that we were killed in different ages due to our discord.”

He was not alone; Sarat Chandra Chatterjee, globally acclaimed Bengali novelist, echoed the same views as well. He stated in clear terms in Bartaman Hindu-Mussalman Samasya (literally, Contemporary Hindu-Muslim Problem), “If we go by the lessons of history we have to accept that the goal of the Hindu-Muslim unity is a mirage. When Muslims first entered India, they looted the country, destroyed the temples, broke the idols, raped the women and heaped innumerable indignities on the people of this country. Today it appears that such noxious behavior has entered the bone marrow of Muslims. Unity can be achieved among equals…. I am of the view that Hindu-Muslim unity, which could not be achieved during the last thousand years, will not materialize during the ensuing thousand years.”

Perhaps there is no need of introducing Sri Aurobindo, Hindu nationalist and Yogi, who has left profound contributions through his works. He stated in one of his writings, “You can live amicably with a religion whose principle is toleration. But how is it possible to live with a religion whose principle is ‘I will not tolerate’? You cannot build unity on such basis. Perhaps the only way of making the Mohammedans harmless is to make them lose their faith in their religion.”

Intellectual giants, through their writings, have depicted how the fate of Hindus, not in Bengal only but across India also, has been harmed by persistent assaults of Islamists through centuries. They have tried to make Hindus conscious of the brutal reality and also of their own fate provided that they remain inclined to the saga of universalism cloaked in flags of global fraternity. All Hindus have got to do is to discern this basic truth or basics and frame their strategies accordingly to preserve Dharma.

Nur Hussain’s arrest manifests illegal infiltration’s nemesis in Bengal

The arrest of Nur Hussain, convicted with the murder of 7 persons at Narayangunj in Bangladesh leading to a public outcry there, along with his two associates named Zaman and Selim from an apartment in Kailhali, Kolkata, has opened a Pandora’s Box virtually apart from slapping weird, hell-bent approaches of Bengal Government to deny the spate of illegal infiltrations of Islamists from the same country in this Indian state. According to reports, on June 15, 2014 at 11.30 pm, Anti-Terrorist Cell of Bidhannagar Commissionerate arrested Nur Hussain along with two others from a flat of Indraprastha Apartment, located at Kaikhali. Police had prior information that on the 4 th floor of the apartment a gambling-den had been set up by a few Bangladeshis. Police raided the flat, arrested three people and brought them to the police station of Baguihati. An FIR was also lodged against them based on illegal infiltration to India, illegal arms act and establishing an illegal gambling hell.

The three arrested persons were produced on June 15, at 2 pm to the District Court of North 24 Paraganas when police demanded remand as well.  Edwin Lepcha, Hon’ble 2 nd Judge in the District Court, granted remand for 8 days in the police custody. It has also been learnt, police found 2 cell phones along with 1 revolver during arrest. The judicial order has been given against Case no. 339 in the police station of Baguihati. On June 23, these three persons will be produced in the court once more.

It must also be mentioned simultaneously, murder of 7 persons including aged lawyer Chandan Sarkar and recovery of these corpses in the river of Sitalkhya on April 30, 2014 led to an uproar in the entire country, unprecedented in every sense of the term. Press and media along with common people were found to be up in arms against the governance there perturbing the reigning Awami League government much. Nur Hussain, commissioner of ward no. 4, Awami League heavyweight and also infamous Mafia at Narayangunj, was termed as the prime suspect behind the ghastly incident. The intimacy between Nur Hussain and Shamim Osman, prominent Awami League leader of Narayangunj, worsened the situation more.  According to sources, Shamim sent Nur Hussain to Mashiur Rehman’s residence in the village of Shyamalgachi within the sub-district of Sarsha to help him to enter the Indian mainland through local support. . On June 3, Mashiur Rehman took Nur on his motorcycle to the international border of Beanpole and finally through local support Nur got success to enter India. He didn’t live in any den for days and used to change shelter after every three days till his arrest at Kaikhali.

Nur Hussain is a fugitive from Bangladesh and if sources are counted on, Ministry of External Affairs, Bangladesh urged its Indian counterpart to accelerate the investigation for Nur Hussain and detain him fast. What’s of others? This question is raised since illegal infiltration from Bangladesh to the Indian state of Bengal remains unabated and a simple visit to areas close to India-Bangladesh international border is enough to make the viewer wise of the calamity and how India is loosing its own land to alien people fast.

Will the Bengal government go on denying the nemesis of illegal infiltration of Islamists from Bangladesh into Bengal still?

Land Jihad in Bardhaman; Eidgah to seize Hindu territory

0
0
Let’s begin with definition of the word Jihad – literally it means, a holy war waged by Muslims against infidels or non-believers in the monotheistic religious system of Muslims and by now, truly, the same word of Jihad has become a scourge to the global non-Muslim community. Bengal, as usual, is no exception and perhaps fortunate (?) enough to witness its latest embodiment also. Apart from the ongoing bloody Jihad coming forth in any part of India at every opportune moment, Love Jihad has also cast its grievous spell already and now, the third embodiment or Land Jihad or any endeavor to wrest lands owned by Hindus till the other day has turned up, set to ravage Hindus. The district of Bardhaman in Bengal has been witnessing the same Land Jihad for months and unless there had been the visit of Tapan Ghosh, president of Hindu Samhati, the crisis wouldn’t have been learnt.

The Land Jihad has taken place in the village of Kuljora within the Monteswar Block in Bardhaman district and despite Hindus there have been claiming that the disputable ground belongs to them and is being used for both grazing cattle and boys’ playground for more than a century, Muslims there are disinclined to shun their own claims to the same tract. It has been found that total area of the land is 8.48 acres, owned by 4 Hindu individuals but their families live in another place. Again documents of BLRO term that 2.75 acres of the land is vested while 3.56 acres belong to an Islamic burial ground; remaining part of the land belong to Hindus altogether. But Hindus are the actual landholders! Due to absence of demarcation of plots in the field, Muslims use western part of the land as an Islamic necropolis. The eastern part of the land consists of hundreds of trees that were instituted by the local Panchayat more than a century ago. The remaining part of the terrain is used for grazing cattle and also for sports.

All these prove that nasty designs of Islamists to grab the vast terrain from Hindus have been continuing for days. On May 29, 2014, a group of Muslims were seen all of a sudden to remain busy with the construction of concrete pillars along with a domed structure in the playing field. When they were asked, Hindus found the same group of Muslims to claim the land as theirs and hence, they were turning it into an Eidgah or an open-air mosque to perform the Salat al Eid (Eid prayers) for Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. When Hindus tried to stop the construction, they were warned of dire consequences by the same group of Muslims and since Hindus remain there without any political support, they have no way other than to fight the struggle through democratic, legal measures. Accordingly, Hindus in the village submitted a mass petition to the BLRO, Monteswar for justice. Sri Tapan Ghosh, president of Hindu Samhati, went to the village on June 17, 2014, took stock of the situation and examined legal documents as well. He advised Hindus of how to proceed and assured them of all possible assistance also.

Bangladesh for Muslims only

The present condition of Chakma people, followers of Theravada Buddhism and living in the Chittagong Hill Tracts of Bangladesh, is akin to Hindus and with each day it passes, these people are being persecuted by Islamists backed by political parties, irrespective of alleged political differences, there more and more. And how sordid they are in Bangladesh has come forth with the gang rape and brutal murder of Bharati Chakma (age 28). Bharati used to live in Karalyachari Headman area within Kianghat Union in the district of Khgarachari in CHT. She was the sole wage earner in the family and used to work in a garments factory. On March 26, 2014, at 4 pm, Bharati left Chittagong to return to her household. While she was returning to Khagrachari from Chittagong in a motorcycle, a group of 5 Bengali Muslim youths pursued her. These people, known as settlers to indigenous people and backed by Bangladeshi government to change demography in the area, were from Pagjyachari and Kalopahar Gucchagram areas, and as soon as Bharati reached west Kianghat area, culprits kidnapped and took her to the teakwood garden nearby forcibly. She was gang raped repeatedly and murdered afterwards. Later on, the corpse was left in a mango orchard; the mutilated body was discovered only on March 29 by the local police. About one month ago of this incident, another housewife named Sabita Chakma was also gang raped and murdered by Bengali Muslim youths or neo-settlers in CHT these days. Police is yet to find out the culprits.

This is not all. On 4 April 2014, a Patro indigenous woman (35) was raped by an Islamist army member at Kulauti village of Khadimpara union under Sylhet sadar upazila in Sylhet district. On 5 April 2014 an indigenous Tanachanga woman was kidnapped alleged by a group of 5-6 Bengali Muslim settlers led by Dr. Hamja and Dr. Muktar from Reju Fattrajhiri village of Naikhyongchari upazila in Bandarban district. In all these cases, consequence remains same; police and administration are yet to adopt strong measures and detain culprits.

Even if the 10 th Parliamentary Election on January 5, 2014 in Bangladesh took place resulting in the ascension of Awami League, Hindus had become the worst casualty for daring to vote denying warnings of Jamaat and other Islamist forces. And the same saga has been going on successfully. What makes Bangladesh retain such an inhuman heritage? This condition has been described by Dr. Anisuzzaman. According to him, “Secularism is a necessary and common attribute in democratic governance. The first and foremost obligation of the State is to set up Right to Freedom of Religious Belief for all. Four principles of Constitution of 1972 have returned but till Islam remains the State Religion, other religions in Bangladesh will have to endure an inferior status.” Dr. Salahuddin Ahmed, national professor, also said, “Laws must be promulgated to bar entrance of religion into the political arena. If Jamaat-e-Islami is banned in Bangladesh, it will return definitely but with a new name. So, use of religion in politics has to be outlawed.” (Both views were published in Prothom Alo– May 11, 2014).

It is worthwhile to mention, seven Hindu families, living in Panchabati, Fatulla in Narangunj Sadar Upazilla (sub-district headquarters) within the district of Narayangunj in the Dhaka division of Bangladesh, were uprooted from the 150-year old zamindar (landlord) mansion in the area recently. They were evacuated without any notice and at the behest of a local Muslim leader of Awami League, reigning political party in the country castigated frequently by radical Muslim outfits for having an alleged secular viewpoint. Hindu members of the persecuted families are living in fields and without any assistance.

Factional scuffles of Islamists shock Barasat

Jagannathpur in Barasat, prominent town in the outskirts of Kolkata and also district headquarters of the district of North 24 Paraganas, is virtually unrestrained now owing to violent conflicts between two groups, led by criminals professing Islam, of ruling Trinamool Congress that erupted once more on June 17 over controls of local syndicates. The problem burst out Tuesday in the morning leading to the appearance of a large police contingent to rein in warring culprits. Even if police was present in strength, they were also attacked. It has been learnt, culprits of both groups attacked police also causing grave injuries of two police personnel. Bombs were hurled randomly; 10 local people got serious injuries as a result. Injured people were admitted to the Barasat District Hospital. Trinamool leadership is worried highly owing to rising scuffles, it has also been learnt.

According to police and local sources, scuffles regarding supply of raw materials to real estate projects, brick kilns have been going on for years between two groups of Trinamool Congress. While one group is led by Matiar Rahman (Trinamool member of local Panchayat), the other faction is being headed by Sattar Ali. It must be noted, Sattar Ali belonged to CPIM a few months back even but now he is with Trinamool Congress. His induction into Trinamool irked Matiar Rahman and his accomplices much giving rise to a power struggle between the two. The situation worsened after the Lok Sabha Election, 2014. Local leadership of Trinamool Congress scrutinized the fast worsening situation and to bring out a truce, a meeting was organized at Nilganj Village Panchayat on Monday with the two groups. But it failed completely. This got revealed when exchanges of bombs between the two factions rocked the vicinity at night on Monday.

On Tuesday morning, it was alleged that a few members of Matiar Rahman’s group thrashed Sattar Ali’s followers while they were going through the area. The incident led to destruction of two motorbikes, a house and two roadside shops belonging to members of Ali group. As a mark of protest, supporters of Sattar Ali blocked the Barasat-Barrackpur thoroughfare soon and to foil this effort, Matiar Rahman’s followers attacked with deadly weapons. A war of bombs started frightening local people to the highest extent. What followed next was a commotion and severe injuries of quite a few persons. Due to the blockade, it became impossible to admit injured persons to local hospitals. When a police team from Duttapukur police station reached the spot to control the turmoil, it was also attacked. Hundreds of people, reportedly, were seen to attack the police contingent.

Finding it impossible to control the tumult, a large team of district police reached the spot ultimately and lathi charged indiscriminately to bring the situation under control. The hour-long scuffle disturbed the locality very and Barrackpur Road remained blocked for hours enhancing woes of commoners only. Even ambulances had to remain in the snarl-up for hours. While speaking to press and media, Matiar Rahman termed Sattar Ali as confidant of CPIM and blamed him for the burgeoning crisis. Locals were found to wonder whether administration would be able to rein in these criminals anyhow.

Shahjahan Sheikh – emblem of Hindu persecution in Sandeshkhali

0
0
Sandeshkhali within the Basirhat sub-division of North 24 Paraganas district is no new to anybody and has already got the infamy of being the worst terror-hit area across the state of Bengal. What has more added to its infamy is the incident on May 27 that rocked the national headlines even inviting the visit of central BJP team to inspect the fast worsening situation in the area. On the very day, a group of Muslim radicals with lethal weapons pounced down on Hindus in the area for daring to vote for the Saffron party in the Lok Sabha election defying diktats of Shahjahan Sheikh. What followed next was common; bombs were hurled as if rainfall while shots were fired randomly and Hindus were attacked by sword-wielding criminals repeatedly causing grievous injuries of lots of Hindus and also police officers. And this is certainly not new; Shahjahan Sheikh loves to repeat this and persecute Hindus at times to reveal his strength to all.

Who is Shahjahan Sheikh then? If truth be told, Shahjahan Sheikh is synonymous to law and order in Sandeshkhali. Well, he has an official position too – Trinamool leader and sub-head of Sarberia Panchayat– but most of all he is a linchpin or central cohesive source of support and stability in the area whom none, be it political parties or police and administration, can pass up in dreams even. He joined Trinamool Congress in 2009; prior to that he was the mightiest leader of CPIM in the vicinity and then, Hindu persecution, his most favored game, used to go on under the red, Marxist flag. He was involved in all kinds of crimes ranging from seizing fisheries to smuggling cows across the India-Bangladesh international border under the patronage of CPIM leaders. He joined Trinamool Congress in 2009 with the help of Haji Nurul Islam, then MP of Basirhat parliamentary constituency. The landslide of Trinamool Congress in 2011 strengthened his position instigating him to initiate his second innings of terror with a new party but with the old agenda of anti-Hindu activities. Because of the political clout enjoyed by him, neither the district police nor administration dares to take him on ever, let alone local police. This was best revealed when BJP leaders lodged FIR against him regarding the ghastly attacks on Hindus on May 27. It is said, police, terming it as useless, didn’t start any official enquiry.

And this is also no surprise. On February 1, 2014, at 10 am, activists of Hindu Samhati were busy to glue posters extolling Hindu Samhati’s impending anniversary on February 14, 2014 in Kolkata on walls. Almost 60 local Islamists, led by Shahjahan, attacked them. Three Hindu youths namely Amay Bhunia, Paresh Mandal and Babu Mukle were dragged to the local Trinamool Congress office and were beaten mercilessly. Three youths were left later in highly injured state.  Police was found as a silent spectator.

On February 2, in the evening, the gang of Shahjahan Sheikh unleashed hell once more at Bhatidaha Mallikpara within Sandeshkhali police station’s jurisdiction. At this time, the innocent Scheduled Caste Hindus hailing from Sardarpara in the village of Amjhara within Basanti police station’s jurisdiction and invitees to Dadhiram Sardar’s house at Bhatidaha were attacked while returning. Hindu women, teenage girls were forcibly taken to Muslim residences and were ravished. Police got busy to hush up the incident and warn Hindus of dire consequences. Shahjahan Sheikh owns a governmental land worth 100 bighas in Sandeshkhali; as stated by locals, it is a token gesture. He controls the whole of Sandeshkhali and whenever police is asked of his whereabouts, there is a single answer – investigations to arrest him are going on.

Islamist Rapist, Hindu Victim and Apathetic Police denote Bengal

0
0
People living in Bodo Atiarbari at Dinhata, headquarters of Dinhata subdivision and also a municipality in the Cooch Behar district of Bengal, are fuming in anger over the inability of police personnel of Dinhata police station to get hold of Abul Mian still. Abul Miman tried to rape Gita (name changed), a 9-year old girl, on June 17 or Tuesday when she was in her house in the area all alone. As per the official complaint or FIR lodged by Gita’s mother on the same day, she had to go outside for a job leaving little Gita all alone in the residence. Taking advantage of her absence, Abul Mian entered the residence stealthily and asked Gita to fetch him a glass of water. Once Gita entered the next room to bring water, Abul Mian got hold of her from behind all of a sudden, tried to shut her mouth and satisfy his own carnal desires also. Gita, to save herself, cried for help desperately. Once her voice was heard, neighbors rushed to the spot and saved Gita; making the most of this commotion, Abul Mian escaped. Even if the FIR was lodged, police has failed to take the culprit into custody and this failure has enraged locals most.

Furious locals are demanding exemplary punishment of the culprit and with each day it passes, the rage is increasing. Women are found up in arms against the lackadaisical administration. Defying the heat wave in the town, on June 18 a huge procession was brought out in the streets and joined by many people as a mark of protest to this governmental negligence. An angry demonstration was staged before the office of SDO and a few locals including Prabir Kumar Dey, Shyamal Bhowmik, Ratna Dey, Manju Bhowmik, Gita Das, Swantana Ray submitted a mass petition to the Deputy Magistrate demanding justice. People were also found to warn that severer struggle would ensue in case police failed to arrest Abul Mian. It has been learnt, police is tying best to arrest the culprit.

South Bengal is also in the same category and the hapless condition of Beena (name changed) now exemplifies this burgeoning social crisis. Beena is a student of Class XII and lives in the village of Gandhabaduli within Bishnupur no. 1 Panchayat and jurisdiction of Bishnupur police station under Alipore Sadar subdivision in South 24 Paraganas district. According to the FIR lodged by Beena in the local police station, on June 15 or Sunday, while she was returning from Adarsha Coaching Center close to her house at 7.30 pm, she was abducted, taken to Samsuddin Gazir Bagan (garden made to honor Samsuddin Gazi or a warrior for Jihad) and was raped there. Even if the main culprit of the incident or Saddam Gazi is yet to be arrested, another criminal named Babul Gazi has been taken into custody. Medical examination of the victim has already been done in the Amtala Hospital nearby but the family is under a grave fear owing to recurrent threats to withdraw the police case. However, police remains apathetic despite all these disturbances and locals allege that police has demeaned this case of gang rape due to political pressure. Beena, at the moment, doesn't know what to do and has informed police personnel that lack of justice will propel her to commit suicide.

Hindu youth’s love affair with Muslim girl earns wrath of Islamists in Sherpur, Bangladesh

Hundreds of Hindu families are on the streets to evade assaults

More than hundreds of Hindu families living in the village of Betmari in Sherpur Sadar Upazila (sub district) within Sherpur district in the division of Dhaka, Bangladesh have become paupers overnight and are forced to run from pillar to post for security. They have left their ancestral village and are living in open meadows. On June 20 they had been assailed by local Islamists and while members of 5 Hindu families have been lucky enough to take refuge in the office of Zilla Puja Udjapan Parisad (District Puja Council), others are in fields. The problem erupted with the love affair of Ratan Rabidas, son of Puni Rabidas, a Hindu individual living in Uttarpara of Betmari village, with a Muslim girl named Seema, daughter of deceased Rashid Mian and also student of HSC. Ratan works in a garment factory and when they realized that social conditions would not let them have a happy life, the couple fled on June 10. It has been learnt, Ratan, out of fear, was ready to convert to Islam but local Muslims are not ready to accept marriage of any neo-convert to Islam with a Muslim girl in fear of violating religious sanctity.

On June 16, 2014, local UP chairman recovered the couple and organized a council for arbitration in the village. The Muslim girl or Seema accepted the love affair and told that she had fled with the youth without any coercion. However, this confession failed to gratify a few powerful Islamists including Sahidul (maternal uncle of the girl) in the village who demanded stringent punishment for the Hindu youth. When the situation went out of control and a furious mob was almost ready to attack Ratan Rabidas, the UP chairman handed over the couple to the local police. On June 17, as a result, radical Muslims unleashed a wave of attacks on Hindu houses in the village resulting in grave injuries of lots of Hindus. Apart from ransacking Hindu residences, they also warned Hindus to leave Bangladesh fast.

Finding no other option above-mentioned Hindus had left the village of Betmari. While only a few have taken shelter in their in-laws’ houses, others are in meadows yet. On June 20, a police team entered the village for investigation but Islamists attacked two Hindu abodes before them. Following departure of police, the same two houses were plundered. A few Hindus got hurt.

Hindus, at the moment, do not know what to do and are moving form pillar to post in search of security. But they are yet to get any help. When asked, Shanti Rani, wife of Tufan Rabidas, a local Hindu individual, was found lamenting. She termed that the love affair between Ratan and Seema earning wrath of local Muslims only had become a nemesis for them. Dulali, a Hindu housewife of the same village, stated that she had been out of residence with her children for three days at a stretch. Dulali’s husband is a barber by profession and owns a saloon also. But since Muslims have boycotted Hindus, the saloon is closed. Same views were expressed by other Hindus, terrified enough to return to their ancestral village. Even if local administration has been requested by human rights organizations to save Hindus, it has not been found to adopt any strong approach in this regard.

Mamata Banerjee in dire straits

0
0
Will she opt for iron fist, expelling illegal Bangladeshi nationals?

Mamata Banerjee has finally admitted the presence of illegal nationals from Bangladesh in Bengal even if it is not known yet whether she has tried to identify them as migrants or infiltrators and this leads to skepticism once more. For people elated with this admission of Trinamool supremo and terming this as her defeat to Shri Narendra Modi, present Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, it must be mentioned at the outset that a vast difference exists between a migrant and an infiltrator. While migrant is basically a traveler moving from one region or country to other seeking seasonal jobs, infiltrator is a person who adopts a position furtively for the purpose of espionage. And it is also not clear whether Bengal Chief Minister is ready to draw a line of distinction between Hindu refugees from Bangladesh and Muslim infiltrators ultimately. If political analysts in Bengal are depended on, this admission of Her is out of compulsion and certainly not of choice. To tell the truth, arrest of Nur Hussain, convicted with the murder of 7 persons at Narayangunj in Bangladesh leading to a public outcry there, along with his two associates named Zaman and Selim from an apartment in Kailhali, Kolkata, has opened a Pandora’s Box virtually. It was no more possible for her, for this reason, to remain tight-lipped on this burgeoning national disaster, abetted by indigenous forces also. And that she would have to act thus was predicted in a separate report published in this blog 6 days ago (http://www.hindusamhati.blogspot.in/2014/06/nur-hussains-arrest-manifests-illegal.html).

The acknowledgment came forth when the Hon’ble Chief Minister was in an officialmeeting with senior police officials in border district of North 24 Parganas, following a chain of murders of TMC leaders due to factional conflicts. She was found to state, “A murder took place inside the party office at Sodepur. The Barrackpore Bar Association president was shot. Is this a joke? What’s happening? What is the police doing? Murders are being committed by hiring assailants from Bangladesh for as little as `200.” She also told irately before all including senior TMC functionaries in the meeting, “I will not tolerate this. While the killers have to be arrested, those who are masterminding it have to be caught also.”

While talking to press and media, Tanmoy Roy Chowdhury, police chief of North 24 Parganas district, told, “Only yesterday (Friday) the CM had convened a meeting and asked us to step up the vigil along the border with Bangladesh. We have alerted all police stations on the border and officers have been directed to expand their network of sources and nurture them in the vulnerable areas.” He was also found to state “As a result, we have arrested a large number of Bangladeshis from Bongaon. We are holding a meeting with senior BSF officials to determine how such a large number could cross over (into the country) and start living here.”

The confession indeed has discomfited her and also mocked at her earlier avowals when she had rounded Shri Narendra Modi’s statements during electoral campaigns emphasizing the need to adopt stringent measures against illegal Bangladeshi nationals in India. Terming him as “Face of communal riots trying to divide Bengal on religious lines”, she said vociferously, “He does not know history or geography. All Muslims living here are Indian citizens. He is threatening to deport them. I dare him to touch anyone as a Bangladeshi.” Now the question remains where she goes from here.

As an astute politician, she is well aware of her next jobs; to find out illegal Bangladeshi nationals and adopt the theory of push back. But there is also a dilemma. Any such tough approach may worsen her loyal minority electorate and if her administration fails to demarcate between refugees and illegal infiltrators from Bangladesh into Bengal, the hue and cry will endanger her position too. Mamata Banerjee is indeed in a terrible fix.

English Medium High Madrasa progresses with vigor

Sanskrit Education lost in ignominy

The pro-minority politics makes a swift comeback in Bengal’s educational scenario with the inauguration of first English Medium High Madrasa at Paninala in Nadia. However, if concerned administrative officials are believed, its foundation stone was laid by Sri Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, then Chief Minister of Bengal, in 2010. But another stone was laid in 2013 by Sm. Mamata Banerjee, present Chief Minister and after long wait the school was formally inaugurated on June 23, 2014. People who graced the occasion included Sri Bani Kumar Roy – president of the District Council, Sri Tapas Pal – Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Nasiruddin Ahmed – Hon’ble MLA and others. It is to be noted, the school has a meager population of Hindu students also since they have no other option for education in the vicinity.

According to history, the madrasa education in Bengal initiated with the zeal to impart sacrosanct, Islamic education on Muslim students and with this end in view, Madrasah-i-Aliah founded by Warring Hastings (First Governor General of East India Company) in October of 1780 in Kolkata. Madrasa system earned strong support of British Raj and the condition remains unchanged even in the independent era due to the urge to win over Muslim population in the state. The saga was started by Left parties while Trinamool, despite its antagonism to the same Left, bank on it to enjoy a loyal minority vote bank.

It has also come to knowledge, Minority Affairs and Madrasa Education Department had allotted a fund of Rs. 8 crores for this madrasa. As per plans, the educational curriculum will include up to Class XII apart from separate hostels for both boys and girls. Students will have to be residents here. Computer courses and modern laboratories do extol the educational environment. While speaking on the occasion, Tapas Pal, MP proposed to build up a similar English Medium High Madrasa at Karimpur. He was found to state that more such institutions should emerge in areas inhabited by Muslims.

This simple avowal has also brought another grave injustice or disparity forth and it is to Sanskrit education in the state. The predominance of Sanskrit education, its culture in Bengal helped the region to earn great feats across the globe in preceding decades. With the Left antipathy to it, Sanskrit education reached ebb soon and now the situation is almost out of the frying pan into the fire. Thanks to the ignominy and governmental aversion, Bhatpara and Navadwip, predominant centers of Sanskrit education in the realm of Bengal, lost its worth and have gone to oblivion almost by now. The wretched condition of Sanskrit college in the metropolis of Kolkata, one of the oldest educational institutions in the Indian subcontinent and set up in 1824 to specialize in the scholarship of Indian tradition, philosophy and religion, is enough to project the dishonor being shown to Sanskrit education or highest level of Hindu genius. Lack of infrastructure and fund, resulting from administrative apathy, plague this noble institution most.

Students are getting disinclined to Sanskrit education more and more as they remain unsure of whether this will enable them to make a good career. This rising hesitancy is resulting in other difficulties. Most of the seats remain vacant and now, it is getting impossible to have students to learn indigenous languages like Pali and Prakrit along with Sanskrit. Hindu genius is reviled thus and there is none to restore this great treasure of knowledge, considered by pundits in the West as one of the most astounding innovations in the history of mankind.

Jihadi, madrasa nexus resolute to destroy Bengal, create Greater Islamic Bangla

When the much coveted clarion call to push back illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators from India will be given is unknown yet but Islamists are not idle and watching the fun or awaiting the call from the other side of Bangladesh – they have started their preparations to dismantle India for the last and the best and if fresh reports are banked on, the day of final onslaught is not far away either. In accordance with reports published in press and media, no less than 45 Jihadi camps, at the behest of several Islamic fundamentalist groups stationed in Bangladesh along with ISI, Hizbul Mujahideeen and Lashkar-e-Taiba, are unabated in several parts of the country. But instead of covert activities, madrasas and local clubs have been selected as training centers and here, apart from imparting educations on latest warfare and guerilla activities on them, budding activists are also being trained for conducting relentless Fidayeen attacks. These 45 Jihadi camps are located in areas beside the India-Bangladesh international border where young minds are being taught how Muslims are persecuted in India and Kashmir is a part of Pakistan. It has been learnt, sole purpose of these training camps is to create a Greater Islamic Bangla by amalgamating both Bangladesh and the Indian state of Bengal. The news has unnerved both BSF (Border Security Force) and Central Government of India highly.

According to reports, these camps in Bangladesh are situated alongside the India-Bangladesh international border areas between Hingalganj in the Basishat subdivision of North 24 Paraganas district in Bengal to the state of Tripura. Some of these camps are at Narayanganj, Barishapur, Keshabpur, Sarisha (all North 24 Paraganas district across), Chaugacha and Jibannagar (Nadia district across), Meherpur, Futia, Barsha, Debgunj (across the district of South Dinajpur). These camps are located within 30 km from Bangladesh’s border with India; terrorists are also trained to enter India sneakily. The majority of recruits in these camps is between 16 and 25 years of age and in each camp 45 recruits is being kept. Highly experienced terrorists from Pakistan and Bangladesh are working as teachers; they are being helped by several Islamist groups from Pakistan, Bangladesh financially and also in logistics including arms and ammunitions. The landslide of Sheikh Hasina in the recent Parliamentary Election in Bangladesh and the role of India it, reportedly, have infuriated Islamic fundamentalist groups.

The Ministry of Home Affairs, India has already been requested to step up security measures at India-Bangladesh international border in both Eastern and North-Eastern India. It can be presumed easily that these groups play considerable roles in various forms of smuggling across the border ranging from cattle and weapons to gold and certainly women trafficking. These smuggled gold bars play great roles to harm the Indian economy.

The situation, definitely, is worsening while Bengal has become most vulnerable to this vicious design of dismembering India. And through this the role of madrasas, being opened by Bengal government on a spree to appease Muslims, has come under scanner once more. On January, 2002, Buddhadeb Bhattacharya (CPIM leader and then Chief Minister), had said in an interview that he would shut down unaffiliated madrasas since  many had become breeding ground of Islamic terrorism and the entire project was backed by ISI. Though he had to gulp down the entire statement owing to his party’s pressure to retain Muslim vote bank, the worst dreams (then) are coming true now. Madrasa and Jihadi nexus is set to destroy Bengal and create a greater Islamic Bangla.

Is Trinamool using Jamaat-e-Islami, Bangladesh to reign smoothly?

0
0
There have been multitudinous arguments for and against and also denials regarding illegal infiltration of Bangladeshis to the Indian state of Bengal down the ages but the arrest of Nur Hussain has brought the cruel truth to the fore. Bengal is the most vulnerable state before the spate of illegal infiltration and there is no immediate end to this perpetual agony owing to its porous international border with Bangladesh. Nur Hussain, convicted with the murder of 7 persons at Narayangunj in Bangladesh, was arrested along with two accomplices named Zaman and Selim from an apartment in Kaikhali, Kolkata on June 15, 2014 at 11.30 pm by the Anti-Terrorist Cell of Bidhannagar Commissionerate and a police team from Baguihati police station. However, this, as per analysts, happens to be tip of the iceberg.

It must also be mentioned, Mr. Manas Ghosh, editor of Dainik Statesman, in an article penned by him and published in the esteemed daily on January 12, 2014 had brought forth some related and graver aspects. It was stated in the article without qualms that Hasnabad along with Barasat and Basirhat have become hubs for Jamaat cadres and other Muslim terrorists from Bangladesh. Following each act of arson in Bangladesh and to get proper treatment along with protection, they take refuge in these places and in this case, they are helped by a large network of Muslim refugees from India to Bangladesh hell-bent to avenge their transportation. This network maintains rapport with several representatives of the existing ruling clique in West Bengal. And all these are taking place under the aegis of ruling Trinamool Congress.

The issue is enough to bother a sane individual. But at this time such a grave accusation has been brought forward by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). According to its studies, Trinamool hobnobs with dreaded Jamaat-e-Islami of Bangladesh and a full-fledged report based on this has already been submitted by the Party to the Ministry of Home Affairs in New Delhi. It has been learnt, the report pins the blame on Trinamool Congress and describes in detail how Islamist forces together with smugglers, terrorists from Bangladesh and abetted by Trinamool’s activists are persecuting Hindus in the state. The entire campaign is fallout of a vicious design to alter demography in the state rapidly. Shri Rajnath Singh, Hon’ble Minister of Home Affairs, has assured to adopt pertinent measures in this context fast.

On the word of Central team of BJP that visited terrified Sandeshkhali almost two weeks back, relation between Trinamool Congress and Jamaat-e-Islami in Bangladeshi is no new development. To escape police or military investigations in areas like Satkhira, Rajshahi or Bagura in Bangladesh, Islamic terrorists including Jamaat cadres take refuge in Kolkata, its outskirts and various other places in Bengal often and local Triamool leaders succor them. These militants, in return, help the party to win Panchayat and Lok Sabha elections and it was repeated in the latest Parliamentary Election, 2014 also. As stated by BJP’s leaders, UPA Government led by Dr. Manmohan Singh was aware of it but remained silent to retain a loyal, minority vote bank. BSF, hence, was made feeble to let the conspiracy continue triumphantly. Jamaat-e-Islami is known to be a rabid pro-Pakistan and anti-India force in Bangladeshi political arena and enjoys bounteous patronage of ISI in Pakistan.

Now, with the support of Trinamool Congress these activists are engaged to spread the venom of communalism across Bengal. This hard-line outfit is also being used to check the growth of BJP in the state and hence, clashes in the state are no more political but precarious for the nation’s integrity also. This issue has also been included in the memorandum submitted to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Hindus stop administration from favoring Islamists in Jangipara, Hooghly

Iron fortitude rules the show

The village of Santoshpur within the jurisdiction of Jangipara police station in the district of Hooghly is affected by another communal conflagration and it has stemmed from the same Islamic burial ground or the bone of contention between Hindus and Muslims in the locale for years. The problem started of late when local police and administration was found to be support one community blatantly over the same contentious issue making Hindus in the area burst into protest. A large contingent of police has already been deployed to get over any further deterioration of law and order.

It is worthwhile to mention, a vested land consisting of a pond also and located beside Jangipara Main Road (Root-31) was changed to an Islamic burial ground (forcibly) a few years back. Terming any such construction as precarious to the existence of Hindus in the village of Jangipara, locals stopped the construction and after a few years, thanks to relentless struggles of Hindus, the proposal was withdrawn by local Muslims. Now, Islamists, exploiting the pro-minority or pro-Muslim outlook of reigning Trinamool Congress government in Bengal, are back with their old agenda. Even if Hindus are trying best to stall the program once more, they have not been able to take on the overwhelming administration yet.

Meanwhile, the administration has decided to metal an unmetalled road connecting the villages of Santoshpur and Amarpur villages. The abovementioned Islamic burial ground is beside the side road as well. Local Muslims tried to take advantage of the situation and pressurized the local administration to favor the cemetery. Islamists asked the administration to leave a strip of land worth 15 ft. between the proposed metal road and the burial chamber. The administration was learnt to yield to this demand enraging local Hindus inhabiting the villages of Santoshpur and Amarpur a lot.

On June 19, when the cemetery’s managing committee was found to stage their demands, Hindus rose to the occasion and burst into vigorous protests. When efforts to push back the vibrant Hindu crowd occurred, the police force was also charged in return leading to a face to face confrontation. Hindus were united under the leadership of Raghu Patra and Debraj Soren, two Hindu individuals living in the vicinity. When both administration and Islamic cemetery’s managing committee found it impossible to inhibit Hindus, they opted for a truce and accepted demands of Hindus. It has been decided, a strip of land worth 1.5 ft. road will be between the metallic road and burial chamber.

Santoshpur in Jangipara has never been alien to such tensions. People may recollect that only on May 15, 2012 Hindus in this village were assailed mercilessly by Islamists and Hindu women became their early targets. It was the day of Raksha Kali Puja; Hindus formed a musical procession to fetch holy water of River Ganges for the Puja. The procession was guarded by around 50 police personnel. At 6 pm, the procession was stopped by police, as ordered by SDO, to let the namaz (being performed at the Santoshpur mosque) remain undisturbed. The decision enraged Hindus and they blocked the main thoroughfare as a mark of protest.

The religious procession started at 6.40 pm but once it reached Santosphur crossway, no less than 100 Islamists led by Sahabuddin Mallik, Samsuddin Mallik and Rezwan Ali attacked Hindus. Hindu women became worst victims and once Hindus started fiery resistance, police stopped Islamists and dispersed the gang. Clashes or even verbal spats between the two communities have been going on strongly ever since then.

Bangladeshi infiltrators in streets, alleys, all over

Is Central Government ready to push back illegal infiltrators from Bangladesh?

On June 22, 2014, a Bangladeshi infiltrator was arrested in front of the residence of Chief Minister of the Indian state of Bengal or Sm. Mamata Banerjee at Kalighat by a team from Kalighat police station. The arrest sent a shudder through the spine of Bengal administration and basically, potential hullaballoo over the incident worried the concerned department most. It has been learnt from Murlidhar Sharma (D.C. South), the name of arrested youth is Mohammed Anam (age 28), hailing from Nayakhali of Dakshin (South) Sunmgunj) Upazila (Sub-District) in Bangladesh and according to his own statement, he entered India through Beanpole or the principal checkpoint of Bangladesh in the India-Bangladesh international border to meet the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Bengal. Even if a passport has been received from Mohammed Anam, he has no visa and accordingly, he has been detained for investigations. A case has also been lodged against him for entering India illegally.

What astound all now are the security lapses prevalent both in the border and state enabling an illegal Bangladesh infiltrator reach the area close to the Hon’ble Chief Minister’s residence. At the same time, a police team belonging to west port police station has also arrested three Bangladeshi infiltrators namely Tarique Mollah, Billa Qazi and Mohammed Manirul Mollah hailing from Khulna district in the realm of Bangladesh. A formal case has been registered against these three individuals, based on Foreigners Act of India.

What makes the Bengal government so helpless?  Has the government yielded to Bangladeshi infiltrators entering the state on whim? What refrains the Bengal government from seeking the central help then? Does the Central Government believe on pompous assurances and zero activity regarding push back of illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators? If these questions haunt any patriotic Indian, it is quite natural. The bane of illegal infiltration is not limited to Kolkata but is expanding far and wide and up to the states of Gujarat, Maharashtra and Rajasthan. Are not political parties conscious of this mounting demographic invasion? In a nutshell, all are aware and to refresh the memory let’s go through pages of Ganashakti (Bengali organ of CPIM). On October 11, 1992, Jyoti Basu, thenHon’ble Chief Minister of Bengal, penned an article in Bengali to seek a final solution to the problem of infiltration. He wrote in clear terms, “Muslims started entering the Indian mainland ever since 1971. Between 1977 and 1992 BSF identified and pushed back 2, 25, 529 Bangladeshis and among them while 56, 342 were Hindus, 1, 69, 795 were Muslims.”

On July 14, 2004, Shri Prakash Jaiswal, then Hon’ble Minister of State for Home Affairs, stated in Lok Sabha that the number of illegal Bangladeshis in India (at that time) was almost 10.5 million while 75 hundred thousand of them were stationed in the state of West Bengal only. The number, without a shred of doubt, has increased by leaps and bounds in the last decade and now, the situation is such that a substantial form of this alien population has started to decide the fate of Bengal in elections. Presence of Mohammed Anam or Tarique Mollah, Billa Qazi and Mohammed Manirul Mollah in Kolkata is found so frequently hence.

When will the Central Government initiate its push back program? This sole issue concerns all now and unless such stringent measures are adopted, the destiny of Eastern India will be perilous. This can be stated undoubtedly. Last question – is the BJP-led Central Government serious of its electoral promises to check illegal infiltration from Bangladesh?

Is Kolkata a city of Islamists only?

Syed Ahmed Road at Entally in Kolkata on June 24 at 8.30 am was just like any other day and Ashraf Alam had just opened his meat shop. He was with his assistant in the shop and was awaiting customers. All of a sudden, contrary to expectation of anyone in the locality, a youth came near Ashraf and fired at him. Even if the assailant’s intention was to pump bullets into chest of Ashraf, his foot was badly hit. The unknown assailant fled soon leaving Ashraf Alam behind in a pool of blood. The scene was more than enough to panic Ashraf’s relatives and neighbors but they managed to admit him to the NRS Hospital in a critical condition.

Who is the criminal? When police was asked the same question, they termed a local criminal named Mohammed Sarafu to mastermind the ghastly effort. While talking to locals it was learnt Mohammed Safaru had demanded Rs. 2 lakh as extortion from Ashraf Alam and when the demand was turned down, Sarafu attacked him. Incidentally, both Ashraf Alam and Mohammed Sarafu work as sources of Intelligence Branch of Kolkata Police and such crimes of Sarafu are not unknown to a section of police officials. Mohammed Sarafu has not been arrested yet while reportedly, police is trying to give a cold shoulder to the incident.

While police seems to be indifferent to the crime of Mohammed Sarafu, political parties in the opposition are not ready to condone any such laxity. And this can be found from their stances in the Howrah case happened of late. They are already up in arms against police’s incapability to arrest Riaz Ahmed and Dipak Shaw, two Howrah-based extortionists. These two extortionists’ alleged threat calls led to the death of Sumit Naha, a hotelier in Howrah, at his Baguihati residence. According to reports, Sumit Naha died of heart attack following the calls. The victim’s family has already submitted CCTV footage of gangster Dipak Shaw who had attacked Ashish Manna, hotel’s manager. Both these gangsters having alleged links to reigning Trinamool Congress do operate in the Howrah station area. The Naha family has been involved in running their Bridge Lodge in the same area for the last four decades. However, neither Riaz nor Dipak, his accomplice, started controlling the area from yesterday. If truth be told, there is no end to this crime syndicate, ever fortunate to have blessings of politicians and strengthened by apathy of police and administration.

What is most striking this type of affiliation to crime is prevalent among one particular minority community in India. They loathe refraining from controlling society and leave no stone unturned to do the same. Unfortunately, such a spate of crimes, as a result, is no more limited to felons or hard-line fundamentalists of the community and in this period of consumerism, youngsters are also coming up fast. Faizal Imam Khan happens to be the paradigm of such changing patterns of society. Faizal has been arrested for abetting an adolescent girl to commit suicide. It has been found, the victim girl used to live with her parents and elder sister in the Parnasree police station area and got introduced to Faizal through Facebook. But soon she got skeptical of Faizal’s foul intention and broke the relationship. Faizal avenged this breakup by disseminating abominable info of her in walls of Facebook; she was termed as a call girl and her cell number was also flashed through several posts. Accordingly, she got frequent calls from unknown persons who were interested to hire her. Being unable to tolerate these insults, the adolescent girl committed suicide.

Mamata's Maha Aarti in Rath Yatra stuns all

Is ISKCON apathetic to Hindu feelings?

Despite the fact that Hindus in the Indian state of Bengal are on the verge of wane and religious persecutions on them by Islamists (in each way) and abetted by the weird silence, barefaced pro-minority approaches of state government are rising by leaps and bounds, Hindu religious leaders as well as organizations remain most apathetic to their lot. This came forth best on June 29, 2014 when Sm. Mamata Banerjee, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Bengal, was seen to join the Rath Yatra organized by ISKCON, along with a host of members of the state cabinet. The members included Subrata Mukherjee or the Hon’ble Minister of Village Development and Panchayat, Sovan Chatterjee or Hon’ble Mayor of Kolkata and Subrata Bakshi, MP of Trinamool Congress. Bengal Chief Minister was also seen to perform MahaAarti of the Holy Deities of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balarama and Subhadra. Ratha Yatra or the Holy festival inaugurated once the road before the Holy Chariot was cleansed by Mr. Subrata Mukherjee with a golden-broom (emblematic cleaning of the path for chariot of Lord Jagannath).

Such a grand, Holy Rath Yatra festival is organized on each year in the metropolis of Kolkata by ISKCON or the International Society for Krishna Consciousness and is joined by hundreds of thousands of people representing all echelons of the society including foreign devotees of this globally acclaimed organization. Today, the three finely-decorated chariots commenced their journey at 12.30 pm from Park Circus, joined by devotees in large numbers, and reached the Park Street in the evening. Even if it was raining heavily then, more Hindus joined the festival with elation. To celebrate the sanctified occasion, Hindus reached Maidan or Brigade Parade Ground where the three chariots will stay till July 7 or Bahuda Yatraor Ulto Rath.

Once chariots reached Maidan, Sm. Mamata Banerjee performed Maha Aarti of the Holy Deities of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balarama and Subhadra. Along with her family, she also offered Puja to the Holy Deities.

Can any such worship be performed by a person who never forgets to wear hijab to placate Muslims in the state at every opportune time? Even since her ascension to the position of Chief Minister of Bengal in 2011, Sm. Mamata Banerjee has left no stone unturned to appease Muslims in Bengal and this has been found by either wearing hijab or participating in Islamic festivals. It must be kept in mind that hijab is a headscarf worn by Muslim women beyond the age of puberty before adult males outside of their immediate family members. Apart from this, Bengal under the rule of Trinamool Congress has remained witness to burgeoning assaults on Hindus, their religious beliefs along with properties and women in particular, by radical Muslims. Ravishment of Hindu women by Islamists is getting common more and more and the venom has engulfed the entire state already.

The ignominious episode of gang rape and murder of Shipra Ghosh by radical Muslims on June 7, 2013 in her own village of Kamduni, within Barasat police station’s (then) jurisdiction in the district of North 24 Paraganas is yet to be forgotten while the maimed soul of the innocent Hindu girl is yet to get justice. Thousands of such atrocities on Hindus have occurred and the horror is increasing with each day it passes. How can ISKCON or a Gaudiya Vaishnava religious organization invite such a rabid pro-Islamist individual to perform Maha Arati at Rath Yarta festival Kolkata, 2014.

The performance has hurt Hindus; protests are being found in different quarters of Hindu society against such a brazen act.

Kaliachak’s Rath Yatra may end soon

0
0
The village of Jalalpur within Kaliachak Block I in the district of Malda was prominent in the vicinity for the Rath Yatra or one of the principal festivals of millions and millions of Hindus scattered across the globe. Apart from pulling chariots comprising Holy Deities of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balarama and Subhadra, the village used to revel a week long fair or “Jalalpur Rahter Mela", attended by both Hindus and Muslims in large numbers. On each year, no less than two hundreds of shops along with makeshift stalls used to take part in the trade event. But the fair is no more and has become a part of history only. The fair ended three years ago thanks to relentless efforts of a section of local Muslims desirous to control the entire area. To garner more profits, this very section of Islamists introduced newer forms of entertainments like wine shops, temporary gambling dens along with other immoral business ventures in the exhibition. These new enterprises marred the hallowed atmosphere in the long run and despite strong protests from local Hindus, Islamists, abetted by silence of local administration, went on with their goals. Nevertheless protests continued. Finding no other option to grab the authority, Hindus were compelled by Islamists to stop the grand fare once and for all.

Rath Yatra is going on still but fails to attract Hindus from other areas these days. The sole reason behind this is the terror of Islamists. Hindus are scared to join the program while Hindu women remain vulnerable to molestations and other kinds of common dastardly attacks or special anti-Hindu attributes of Islamists. None knows when this sanctified Rath Yatra in the Kaliachak Block I, inhabited by Hindus as a feeble and minority community, will meet its final end. Hindus grieve over the absence of a strong administration. They believe that any such presence could have stopped Islamists from going on with their nasty designs to maim Hindu feelings.

Again, to tell the truth, this is no new development in Kaliachak, known to Hindus as the newest incarnation of a sovereign Islamic territory or mini-Pakistan. Such horrific activities have been going on for decades while political parties like CPIM or Congress or Trinamool Congress look the other way to retain a loyal, Muslim vote bank.  On April 8, 2013, at night, a gang of local Islamists enclosed the mango orchard (on a land of 30 cottahs) of Rajkumar Saha, a Hindu individual living in village of Silampur under Kaliachak police station’s jurisdiction for decades, and seized it. The entire attack was led by Salil Sheikh, an infamous Islamist in the locality. The goons have built a thatched hut within the garden while the entire property is being guarded by a group of 25 radical Muslims. More than a year has passed but the local police are yet to detain the culprits. The Hindu family is having severe economic plight at the moment.

This is just a mere incident while hundreds of others go unreported as Hindus, being helpless and devoid of any leadership, can’t take on highly organized syndicates of Islamists. They prefer to take flight to other areas having more Hindu families.

Hindus thrashed mercilessly but also arrested in Baruipur

Servitude to Islamists in Bengal indicates calamity in the offing

On June 24, 2014, the village of Jayatala within the Baruipur police station’s jurisdiction in the district of South 24 Paraganas perceived a cruel face-off between its Hindu inhabitants and Muslims living in Gatkanda More in the vicinity. No doubt, there has been a steady hostility between two communities but the way in which Muslims from Gatkanda More attacked Hindus from Jayatala village and without any provocation amazed the local administration even. People living in other areas of Baruipur have also condemned this ghastly assault unanimously.

The problem started on June 24 at 10 am when three youths inhabiting Jayatala namely Pradipta Naskar, Dibakar Patowari and Uttam Naskar were going towards Gatkanda More on a motorcycle. As soon as three Hindu youths reached the crossway at Gatkanda More, they were abused by an individual named Samser Mollah.  There was apparently no reason to make Samser Mollah call their names; the incident was more than enough to enrage the three youths. But, as soon as they protested, Samser Mollah attacked them with a bamboo stick and thrashed them mercilessly. The attack was so swift that Hindu youths failed to render a befitting reply. While Uttam Naskar and Dibakar Patowari got badly injured (deep fracture in their heads led to bleeding profusely), Pradipta Naskar managed to return to the village. Both injured youths were taken to the nearby primary medical center soon. The news did spread like a wild fire in the village leaving all to wonder of the possible reasons behind such a dastardly attack. While youths of village started preparations to have vengeance, elders in the village calmed them down and assured all of adopting proper measures to settle the tension.

Within a few minutes, a group of people comprising 20 Hindu individuals from Jayatala went to Gatkanda More to know the reason and also settle any kind of antagonism. But what happened next was contrary to their imagination. Once they reached the spot, Muslims, whether young or old, male or female, encircled and started abusing them. The group got bewildered but they were not ready to give in to abuses and potential threats of the large pack of Islamists. The verbal spat between two groups got new heights rapidly but it ended with the onset of second round of attacks on Hindus. Islamists of the village of Gatkanda attacked Hindus with lethal weapons including swords and choppers. Even if Hindus failed to strike back, they got success in defending themselves at least. Nonetheless, Pintu Mandal, Sanjib Naskar, Bhisma Naskar, Tapan Naskar and Bhabesh Naskar got critical injuries. Since Bhisma Naskar was bleeding heavily, he was taken to the hospital in an ambulance.

What astonishes all is that police stopped the same ambulance and arrested heavily injured Bhisma Naskar along with Dilip Bhuiyan, Pintu Mandal, Pabitra Naskar, Uttam Naskar. Police registered a formal case (877/14) against these youths. However, later on, based on complaints from inhabitants of the village of Jayatala, Samser Mollah was also arrested.

Is there any end to servitude to Islamists in governance, police of Bengal?

Surrender leads to annihilation only

ISKCON sets a new example thus

Hindu religious organizations have always been witnessed to have confidence in all, never demarcate between coreligionists and aliens and emphasize sanctified notions of love and universalism casting aside potential of any violent counterattacks. This practice has been going on down the centuries despite rendering no benefit thus far. There is no hope of such also. And the reason behind these all is not far to see. The chronicle of benevolence intrinsic in Hinduism has been interpreted wrongly always. It has always been discerned as akin to cowardice or gutlessness and this understating has become a readymade tool for anti-Hindus to maim the Dharma, its basis and also its adherents. Whether in India or Pakistan or Bangladesh or any other part of the globe, this has been the painful tradition.

The inherent dilemma to stand upright in support of Hindus came forth again when Mamata Banerjee, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Bengal, was seen to join the Rath Yatra organized by ISKCON or the International Society for Krishna Consciousness in Kolkata, along with a host of members of the state cabinet on June 29, 2014. Albeit she has always been in the news for all wrong reasons since Trinamool’s ascension in 2011 and especially, for her frantic efforts to appease the Muslim community in Bengal to retain a exceedingly loyal, minority vote bank, nothing prevented ISKCON from inviting her to preside over the event. A lady clad in hizab often like her was found to be blessed by Vaishanava priests there even. The effeminacy expressed there failed to impress Islamists and this became evident through the dastardly attacks on an ISKCON temple Swamibag, Dhaka, Bangladesh on June 30, 2014 at 9.30 pm.

Many may find it difficult to ascertain a relation between these events in two countries but in the present age of information revolution, internet has virtually quashed all distances between countries. There has never been any dearth of attacks on Hindus, their religious institutions in Bangladesh. Nevertheless the effeminacy expressed once more through the Kolkata incident incited Islamists in Bangladesh to assail the ISKCON temple in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The terror was unleashed at 9.30 pm when a pack of Islamists, following the namaaz, launched a spate of ghastly attacks on the temple with the adjoining courtyard. No less than hundreds of Islamists participated in the attack and casted bricks with pebbles from outside of the courtyard. Devotees present in the temple had managed to close the main door by then but this even failed to thwart severe damages on the temple and Holy Deities inside it.

A small group of police officials were present there but they preferred to remain apathetic on the whole. The absence of any countermove prompted attackers more; apart from attacking the Hindu temple, they were found to kick at the temple’s main door and also use filthy languages against Hindus and their Dharma. Finally, with the arrival of a large contingent of police, the situation calmed down. It has been learnt that the weeklong Rath Yatra festival held by Hindus annoyed Muslims most. The festival has been playing a major role to unite Hindus in the vicinity and Muslims consider this as a threat to Islam. To teach Hindus a lesson, they came out after the namaaz of Ramzaan and attacked the Hindu institution.

Islamist molests two girl students, take their nude photos

Time is changing fast in Bengal and ostensibly the gloomy days of 1946-47 are returning yet again to ravage Hindus. While on one hand Islamists are found almost daily to pounce down on Hindus and especially Hindu girls and women, treasured (?) MPs like Tapas Pal, on the other hand, are admonishing to use rape as an instrument to inhibit political opponents. The cult of using rape as a necessary tool of action emerged in the violent days of partition in 1947 and by the efficient machinery of (then) Muslim League and its first success was the pogrom against Hindus in Noakhali, 1946. Almost seven decades have passed from that calamitous episode by now but history is yet to know the complete account of atrocious ravishments of Hindu and Sikh women, mostly in Bengal and Punjab.

Of late, the husband of a teacher involved at a child school was arrested owing to molesting two girl students of the same school along with taking their nude photographs in cell phone forcibly. This unblushing and shocking incident has taken place in the area of Govindapur under Malior-1 village panchayat within Harishchandrapur police station’s jurisdiction in the district of Malda. Once the complaint was lodged at the local police station, a team of police took Mohammed Isamil, offender as well as the teacher’s husband, into custody. Her wife and also the school teacher named Usehda Bibi fled seeing the police team, it has come to knowledge. On the word of Babin Mukherjee, IC of Harishchandrapur police station, police is investigating the incidents that led to this outrageous development. The school teacher or Usehda Bibi is being searched for also. It is to be noted, Usehda Bibi is the school teacher at local No. 305 Sishu Shiksha Kendra (child education center) while her husband or Mohammed Isamil is a grocer by profession. He is farmer and owns a farm also, at the same time. The two victims are children of two laborers.

In accordance with local villagers, after the school ended on Saturday, Usehda Bibi asked the two little girls to go to her residence. Once they reached the home, Mohammed Isamil or the school teacher’s husband informed them that she was sleeping. Listening to this, they tried to go away. However, Mohammed Islamil asked them to wait and move to another room. Both of them were made nude and their unclothed photographs were also taken. Two girls were also warned of dreadful results if they informed anyone else of this. According to police sources, as soon as the two little girls returned home, they burst into tears. When they were asked of the reason behind, both of them narrated the whole episode to their parents and also relatives. Since Mohammed Isamil is powerful in the village and is also backed by local Islamists, their parents did not muster the courage to lodge a report to the local police station. But the two girl children remained sleepless throughout the night out of fear. Finding no other option to console their wards both fathers, laborers by profession, decided to lodge formal complaints against Mohammed Isamil in the police station.
